Why the weighting is flat
A choice, not an oversightIt would have been easy to give the clause four points and the reading date one. Many lists do something like that, and the result is a ranking that looks objective and rests on an opinion about what matters most to the reader.
This catalogue does not hold that opinion. It counts what is written down and leaves the weighting to the reader — which is why every entry lists the fields one by one, not just the sum.
How ties are broken
Two steps- The number of coins counted in the cashier — a figure already counted, requiring no new judgement.
- The alphabet. Arbitrary on purpose: an arbitrary criterion beats one that looks meaningful without being so.
